Terms of Service

1. User Accounts and Security

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@resumelyn.com if you suspect any unauthorized access or security breach.

2. Purchases and Credits

All purchases of Optimization Credits and Cover Letter Credits are processed securely through our payment provider. Credits never expire and are non-transferable between accounts.

Digital Content and Right of Withdrawal: At the time of checkout, you will be asked to confirm via a mandatory checkbox that you explicitly request immediate access to the digital content purchased. By checking this box, you acknowledge that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(m). Accordingly, credits are non-refundable once purchased. The only exceptions are cases of a verified, material technical failure on the part of Resumelyn that prevented the delivery of the purchased service.

Subscription Plans

Resumelyn offers monthly subscription plans that provide a fixed number of credits per billing cycle. All subscriptions are billed automatically on a monthly basis through DodoPayments.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month on your billing date. You will be charged the applicable plan fee unless you cancel before the next billing cycle.

Cancellation.You may cancel your subscription at any time through the “My Profile” section in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to your remaining credits until that date.

Credits do not roll over. Unused credits expire at the end of each monthly billing cycle. Each new billing period begins with a fresh credit balance according to your plan.

Plan changes. Upgrades and downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your current plan remains active until the end of the current period.

No refunds on subscriptions. Subscription fees are non-refundable. Once a billing cycle has begun, no partial or full refunds will be issued, regardless of whether credits were used. By subscribing, you acknowledge and accept this policy. The EU withdrawal right waiver described in Section 2 applies to all subscription charges.

One-Time Purchases

Resumelyn offers one-time purchase options outside of subscription plans, including but not limited to single CV optimizations. One-time purchases provide immediate delivery of the specified service and are non-refundable. The EU withdrawal right waiver described in Section 2 applies.

Job Listings and Application Tracker

Resumelyn aggregates job listings from third-party sources including Adzuna. Job listings are provided for informational purposes only.

No guarantee of accuracy or availability. Resumelyn does not guarantee that any job listing is current, accurate, or still accepting applications. Listings may be expired, filled, or modified by the employer at any time without notice to Resumelyn.

Resumelyn is not an employment agency.Resumelyn does not act as a recruiter, employment agency, or staffing firm. We do not participate in hiring decisions, interview processes, or employment negotiations. When you click “Apply” on a saved job, you are redirected to the original job posting on the employer's or job board's website. Any application you submit is between you and that third party.

Application Tracker. The tracker is a personal productivity tool to help you organize your job search. Resumelyn is not responsible for the outcome of any application tracked through the platform.

Public Profile

Each user has access to a Public Profile, a unique shareable link displaying your name and professional information. You control whether and with whom you share this link. Resumelyn does not proactively distribute your Public Profile. Sharing your profile link with recruiters or any third party is entirely your choice and responsibility.

The Public Profile is separate from the Exclusive Talent Pool. Opting into the Talent Pool is governed by its own consent mechanism as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Third-Party Payment Processor

All payments are processed exclusively by DodoPayments. Their terms and conditions apply to all transactions. Resumelyn never stores, transmits, or accesses credit card or banking details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Resumelyn service to:

• Generate fake academic qualifications or deliberately fraudulent employment histories.
• Create CVs or profiles for other persons without their explicit, documented consent.
• Perform automated scraping, crawling, or bulk extraction of any data from the platform.
• Attempt to access, read, or modify data belonging to other users.
• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these provisions, with or without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property

Your content: All content you upload to Resumelyn, including your CV, personal data, and professional history, remains your sole property. The AI-optimized CV generated as output of the service also belongs to you once generated. You grant Resumelyn a limited, non-exclusive license to process this content solely for the purpose of delivering the requested service.

Our content: The Resumelyn software, platform, brand, logo, design, name, and all associated intellectual property are the exclusive property of Resumelyn. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our express written consent.

6. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

Resumelyn uses advanced AI to optimize your CV and generate cover letters. While our tools significantly improve formatting, targeting, and keyword alignment, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and correcting the final output before submitting it to any employer or recruiter. Resumelyn makes no guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness-for-purpose of any AI-generated content.

7. English Certificate Assessment

The Resumelyn English Assessment is an unproctored, self-administered online test designed to provide an estimation of your English proficiency aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Not an Official Institutional Certification: While our test is mapped to CEFR standards, it is not a substitute for official, proctored examinations (such as IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge). Resumelyn makes no guarantee that employers, academic institutions, or immigration authorities will accept or recognize this certificate.

Liability and Refunds: You are solely responsible for completing the test honestly. Resumelyn is not liable for rejected job applications, denied academic admissions, or any disputes over your assessed English level. As stated in Section 2, because the digital certificate is generated and delivered immediately upon payment, all sales are final. No refunds will be issued if you are dissatisfied with your test score or if a third party refuses to accept the certificate as proof of proficiency.

8. Disclaimers

Resumelyn optimizes your CV for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and connects you with our recruiter network. While our tools demonstrably improve your chances, we do not guarantee job interviews, callbacks, or employment offers. Hiring decisions rest solely with the employer. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Resumelyn's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Resumelyn in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Resumelyn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of employment, loss of income, loss of data, failure to obtain a job offer, or any outcome resulting from a recruitment or hiring process.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Resumelyn and its officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, or legal expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the service; (b) content you upload that is false, misleading, or otherwise violates the rights of a third party; or (c) your violation of these Terms.

11. Age Requirement

Resumelyn is intended exclusively for users who are 16 years of age or older, consistent with the minimum digital consent age established under GDPR in the European Union. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 16.

12. Account Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@resumelyn.com. Upon deletion, all associated data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any unused credits remaining at the time of account deletion are permanently forfeited and are not eligible for refund.

By Resumelyn: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or if your use of the service poses a risk to other users or to the platform. In such cases, unused credits will not be refunded.

13. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Resumelyn service at any time. For material changes that significantly affect your use of the service, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email. Your continued use of the service after receiving such notice constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
